Hauck Ranch is fourth generation farm/ranch operations at the foothills of the Coteau Hills in South Central North Dakota. We run about 375 head of cattle, and farm about 1000 acres of corn, soybeans, and small grains. We are a cow-calf operation, backgrounding our own cattle before sending them to market to be finished. Recently, we have sent feeder cattle to a feedlot, and retained ownership.
We have raised commercial cattle since our great-grandfather purchased the land in 1919 and founded our operation. We originally ran Hereford cattle on the ranch, however we moved into Simmental genetics. We have found great value in crossing our Simmental genetics with Angus. We have begun expanding into the purebred industry. We believe there is much genetic value in the cattle herd we have built over the last 100 years. Using AI technology, we have added to this integrity, having used superior genetics. It is because of this that we are confident in our cattle's ability to have a positive impact on any herd they are put into. We hope customers are able to buy with confidence!
